Google MapsNew Google Maps Redesign Is Slowly Rolling Out to All Users.


Beginning now a new Google map design is on its way to Android users.  Featuring lots of friendlier UI tweaks, Google promises it's a "new way to explore the best spots to eat, drink and play. Early reviews give it a thumbs up, noting that it's a server-side update that is rolling out incrementally, so you won't get it right now by downloading.

Among touted features is the new Explorer Tab that gives you quick recommendations for restaurants, bars, and cafes in any area you’re interested in whether you’re staying local or planning a trip.  Other features include top trending spots and food items, top events and activities in the area, new like and dislike settings to help auto-source preferred food and venue selections.  According to Google, The new “For You” tab will keep you in the know about everything happening in areas you care about whether it’s near your home, work, or a city you visit frequently.
